- PREMIUM QUALITY: An espresso blend of four premium quality varieties of Arabica beans, grown using organic methods.
This premium ground coffee is roasted in Spain by a company that has been blending coffee for more than 70 years.
When you choose to buy organic coffee you know that you are getting a premium product because it has to be completely free of artificial pesticides or any chemical treatment.
With some food products it can be harder to tell the difference between organic and non-organic but with coffee you get a much cleaner coffee drinking experience that is well worth paying a few pounds extra for.
We love to find coffee that is managed as a family business because you know that they have a passion for producing the best coffee they can and they care deeply about creating a quality product that people are going to come back for time and time again.
Coffee is a cutthroat business and roasters come and go all the time so if these guys have been at it for 70 years then you know there is a high probability they are doing something right and you are going to get a good cup of coffee from them.
You won’t find this coffee in supermarkets because Saula is not big enough to be able to produce the quantities needed but that is a good thing because they are able to monitor the quality more closely ensuring you get a quality of coffee that is superior to many you will find on the supermarket shelf.
The coffee beans used to produce the ground coffee used in this blend are all hand-picked which tends to be the case with organic coffee as it needs to be grown under certain conditions that make it less prone to being attacked by insects.
When coffee berries are handpicked the picker visually looks at every one so only the best ones make the cut and it definitely shows in the flavour of this coffee.
You can find out more about the benefits of organic coffee in this article:
Saula coffee beans are cleaned before roasting in the country they are produced in but they also clean them for a second time in the roastery to remove and residue impurities and maximise the flavour and aroma.
Roasted for 17 minutes at 225 degrees Celcius gives this coffee its unique flavour profile.
If you are not into grinding your own coffee beans then this is the next best thing with 3 x 250g tubs that have been vacuum-sealed for freshness.
We like that you get 3 x 250g and not 1 x 500g as coffee loses its freshness once it gets exposed to oxygen and 250g is a good amount for regular coffee drinkers to enjoy fresh coffee without risking the chance of it going stale.
This coffee doesn’t get the credit it deserves and really does represent excellent value for money for the price you pay.
This has already been enjoyed by hundreds of happy buyers that have provided overwhelmingly positive reviews and is a great example of a brand that doesn’t spend any money on advertising but instead focusses its energy on producing the best possible coffee that it can.
Roast
This is a medium roast coffee that has been carefully blended from 100% organic Arabica coffee beans from Indonesia, Central America and South America to create an exceptional coffee experience to be enjoyed at any time of the day.
Body & Aroma
A smooth yet strong and intense flavour this is an ideal coffee for those that really like to taste the coffee you are drinking.
The strength can be adjusted by altering the amount of coffee used but this is best enjoyed by experiencing the full and rich flavour with a small or medium amount of milk and sugar to taste but not too much.
Intensity
We give this an intensity of 2-3 on a scale of 5 making it a balanced coffee to be enjoyed throughout the day.
Suitability
This coffee has been ground finely so it’s perfect for espresso and milk-based drinks such as cappuccino or latte but will also work equally well if your brewing method of choice is a cafetiere, filter coffee machine or Aeropress.
